I helped out again at Sandwell Leisure Trust’s Easter-Egg-Hunt-cum-Orienteering-Event, held in Sandwell Valley. Last year they had 500-odd entries, this year: 1200! The beautiful weather helped.

It’s quite a clever way to trick the somewhat unfit burghers of West Bromwich into a 1-km or 1-mile walk, though the effect is somewhat negated by presenting the participants with a chocolate Easter egg at the end, as well as by the presence of burger and ice-cream vans…

Still, I think that next year we should attach a proper event on to this fun event; a sprint perhaps.
