16 years ago, when I first moved to this street, I would quite often sometimes go for a run down to the Alexander Stadium and back, which altogether is almost exactly 6 km. I remember it taking me between 20 and 25 minutes, so I was a bit confused last week when I tried it and it took 45. Was my memory playing tricks? No, the problem isn’t my memory, it’s age, injury and lack of fitness. This evening, after a good workout at SINS, my time was down to 33:47, so 25 minutes seems suddenly to be a fair target.

Meanwhile, I’ve just found a couple of action shots of me from last year’s ActionHeart Baggeridge 5k. 🙂 (My time was 27:59. Two years before, at Himley Park, I’d managed 23:27.) For information on their 2011 races, see here.
